Parsons Mounted Cavalry: PMC is a Ceremonial Unit of the Corps of Cadets dedicated to representing Texas A&M University through horsemanship. PMC allows 130 cadets to develop self-discipline, confidence, leadership, decision making and horsemanship skills in a real-world operation. The Cavalry manages sixty-six horses and mules. Additional responsibilities include feeding of all animals, care and maintenance for a 50-acre facility. The Army escort wagon, and a horse drawn 3-inch artillery field gun (Spirit of ’02) are also demonstrated and maintained by cadets.
